Taking a break

Hello everyone,

I love you all dearly, but, I need to take a break somewhere in my life from something stressful. Just a quick update, my husband remains in the hospital (Day 6 I think) and is still battling acute renal failure. Docs are talking possible dialysis soon. My dad is in hospital with general crap that he should have gone to the doctor for a month ago, they are talking long term care facility for him (He went in yesterday). Report cards are due next Tuesday and I haven't started them yet. I've dug out my ativan (that I had stopped taking about a month ago) and am going to call my doc for more. Oh, and I found a pack of cigarettes and, yes, I've resorted to smoking again (What kind of freaking idiot am I?)

Please know that I will continue to hold you all in my heart, in my thoughts and my prayers, but I need to take a break from cancer so I can deal with all of the other BS.

I didn't want anyone to think I've dropped off of the face of the earth. I'll still remain active on facebook!

I'll be back when things settle down a bit!

    Thanks for the heads-up about your upcoming absence. Will be keeping you in my prayers and thoughts, as you work through all that's been on your plate lately. I can relate - I could use some downtime, too! Will be waiting to hear from you again soon, hoping that hubby is better, and that your dad is being taken care of as well. And especially that you are getting the rest and strength you need.

    I understand entirely where you are coming from Leesa. I too have often thought about having a "holiday" from cancer as I too have lots of other stuff going on in my life. I wish you well in looking after your husband and father and may be we can catch up on facebook one day.
