had multiple rounds of chemo? Could you have low grade form of OVCA?

Just want to say that recent research by MD Anderson makes a distinction between low grade and high grade forms of ovarian cancer and their research shows traditional chemotherapies are ineffective with low grade form. These are responding to "hormonal" agents like Tamoxifen, a breast cancer drug. After six different unsuccessful types of chemo, I am stable after a year on Tamoxifen only. And I'm told that there are other hormonal agents to try if this stops working. Just trying to get the word out for others like me...

    Chemo for Low grade
    I learned a lot from my last visit to MDA. (I go there for 2nd opinion) The lab here at home referred to low grade as "Well- Differentiated" which I gather means the same. Oddly enough, my 6 carbo/taxol treatments seem to have had some effect, even though I gnash my teeth at the rationale for using these drugs on me. I'll find out next week just how successful the treatments have been.
    A question I have about the hormonal agents: Are your tumors first assayed to see if they are hormone receptive?

    Yes, my doctor first checked my tissue samples to find out that I had estrogen receptors and I did.
