vaginal bleeding

I know this topic was addressed before but I cannot find much on it when I search. Has anyone experienced vaginal bleeding. I noticed a very small amount of bright red blood today. None on my underwear. A bit on the toilet paper. Sorry to report that it cannot be from rough sex..or any sex for that matter! Have other women experienced this? Of course I will wait to see if it continues. If it does I will call the doctor but in the mean while I am looking for reassurance.

    I would call...
    I would call the doctors office anyway just to let them know. It may be nothing... but the paperwork I received from the hospital stated that if I ever saw blood I should call the doctor. If it is nothing to worry about... I'm sure they will tell you to just keep your eye on it.

    I had vaginal bleeding; turned out to be nothing.
    If you do a SEARCH on the posts on the Uterine Cancer Board, you'll probably turn up my terrified 'vaginal bleeding/spotting' posts when this same scary symptom happened to me. My 'spotting' also couldn't be attributed to bedroom athletics. I immediately called and got in to see my gyne-onc for an internal exam. He told me that any good gyne-onc can feel with his finger any type of vaginal cuff cancer LONG before it shows up on any PET or CT scan. (Happily my vagina was pronounced "very smooth" when he finished his exam). I have had at least 4 CT/PETS since then & nothing ever lights up there, and the bleeding never returned.

    My gyne-onc told me that the lining of the vaginal gets very thin and tears easily from lack of estrogen. That problem is compounded for me since I had vaginal brachytherapy radiation. My cancer is ER negative and PR negative, so I am able to use a prescribed vaginal hormone cream that helps with the tissue thinning, but I use about 1/10 what I was prescribed since I am still fearful of hormones feeding my cancer (illogical as it is for me). Anyway, you do want to have an internal exam by your gyne-onc, but don't worry too much. ((((( HUGS)))))

    Remember, it's not always about cancer. I know that's not an easy thing to process and I have the same tendency - to immediately blame any symptom on the big C. I was certain my hernia was a huge, fast-growing tumor when I discovered it.

    I would definitely get it checked out by your friendly OB/Gyn, or your Gyn/Oncol, whichever can see you first.

    Is there any chance it's from your uretha? I get spotting on the tissue with a UTI sometimes.
