Much like one of the post getting tired of trying to make them see what shape I am in and after not getting the MRI of the lumps in my arm along with the shoulder that were to be done really takes its toll on the ability to try and stay oh so positive.
I more concerned about the lumps but because of the pain level and the problems I have been having, caused my handsome orthoman to finally look at shoulder since he truly didn't believe the lumps could be that much of a problem.
Pain and I have been partners since my battle with the beast the result of being treated something I did willingly and knowing all the risks. I fought for years trying to get the quality back in my life on much medication for years just trying to live. Finally I got off all the meds after about 4 years including methadone a great pain med. After about 7 years of working hard and getting into incredible shape the world turns again for me. Months later no closer to knowing what the big lump is and they don't care about it and today finding out that the MRI of my shoulder now shows that it is terribly arthritic and I have known for years I have serveral types so should I be that surprised after all my years of heavy labor,
One thing I always remind myself that if I am not happy with answers I keep asking and bringing the problems up when he want to walk out the door like having it on record. His tone has changed because there are big problems and now I need surgery and yes I am glad once agian it isn't just in this big fat head of mine once again knowing I am in trouble.
Thank God for partners medical plan because I would be hooped without it, already in hard ship because I really haven't worked since May.
Wow wonder how long this will take before I am able to get a life. I am sad because I am one of those physical workers and never did well at the office or with regular working hours because I am such a morning person.
People think that I am one who easily adjusts to what is handed to them and I think I have had to in the past but today wonder if I can do this all again with more waiting and having surgery once again, another way to get a few side affects.
Thanks for listening or reading I should say. I am very grateful not the beast but that too doesn't change all I have been through and more to come.
Doing another MRI of the arm in a month or within the next month to make sure the lump hasn't changed he doesn't want to remove if they can't see it. I did remind him that I have a friend that had biopsies of breast and then had 24 more biopsies in her the same breast because they didn't know what the lump was nothing was conclusive. They were glad they did because they found low grade cancer and then when removed it she had another tumor behind that they didn't see or get.
So many stories so many lives,
Tara

    Shoulder Pain
Tara, thanks for posting and letting us know how you are doing. Just to let you know, I also had pain in my shoulder for about a year, and finally was sent to an orthopedic surgeon for an examination (after ruling out anything having to do with recurrence of my b/c....MRI's, CAT scan, etc. It turned out that I had a bone spur in my shoulder, and it was basically limiting everything I could do with my left arm. I know this is another mountain you have to climb, but it is doable. Hang in there, my friend, and keep us posted on what is recommended. My surgery on the shoulder, plus rehab, took about five months to get completely pain free, but now I am doing so much better. Hugs your way, Judy

    THANKS for that
So far not many incouraging stories about shoulder problems out there but it dawn on me that now they will have to make sure there is NO SIGN of cancer now before they will even touch me for surgery.
What a birthday month August was for me. Huge signs of MS and brain damage lolol shows up. Lumps undiagnosed and now a shoulder that is a mess quess weight lifting and hard labor turned out not to be the friend I thought. WOW is the only word I find myself saying and get out there and paint my windows that are silver when the others are white.
I just want you all to know I love this board and if it wasn't for you all, as I write with a tear, I truly don't know where I would be.
One can only hope it will only take 5 months since have been doing this since January. BC medical system is designed for the rich to pay to get the help they need fast not for the regular Joe who can't afford to pay... Nothing happens as fast as it did all those years ago.
By the way I landed my first real big taping job and somehow will slog away with the help of others and get through it day by day. AT least I know I am wanted and still able to compete with one hand tied behind my back lololol.
    THANKS TO MY MATES
LAUGH and CRY that is all there is for me it seems even in my posts...

    MRI
I haven't got a date yet but do expect it to be within the month then they will consult with other doctors and then I will see Orthopedic surgeon at the cancer clinic while waiting to get into another surgeon since this is not cancer related and won't do at the cancer clinic. He seemed to think I would see the surgeon rather quickly though but I won't hold my breasth because turning purple truly is an option.
You have a few more brain cells than one my friend,
    Tara
