Lost my husband in March & today one of our friends died!

Just felt I had to talk. I'm really sad, cause one of our friends died this morning. I lost my husband in March. It's going to be so hard to go to the funeral. This has been a terrible year.

    First of all, I'm so sorry about your husband, and now your friend, that's rough. I have to say, I post on another site as well, and so many people have been lost in the last month it's horrifying. What people do there is have candlelight vigils on the first of each month to think about all the people who have left us, and if so minded, to pray for them, or send positive energy to their families. I'm not a believer, but I find the whole idea to be very consoling. Taking the time out to light a candle at home and reflect on the people lost, knowing that many others are doing the same thing at the same time (or at least on the same day) is somehow comforting. It would be nice to do something similar here and at other cancer sites so we're all celebrating their lives together.

    Your idea of lighting a candle is a good idea. When my hubby was sick I had so many people who had lit candles for him and I never thought of doing that now.
    I sure hope that you're doing okay. This site is so good for people who have cancer & for others who have lost someone they love to it. Hopefully people like "Miss Strong" will have their posts deleted, right? Thanks for being so caring!
