I live in Kalamazoo! I was dx with breast cancer and the closest support group for breast cancer is...Plainwell (45 min. drive); Paw Paw (50 min. drive); and Marshall (45-50 min. drive). My therapist is starting a breast cancer support group.

Please, please, please contact me. We can have our own support group. I have found absolutely nothing in this area.

My e-mail is dcissurvivor@hotmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Betsy

Jennie,

You might wish to use this site and other venues to find others, like you, near Paw Paw, seeking a cancer-specific group support. You can also go through your treatment center and place of worship to inform potential participants of your plans. Churches and synagogues also provide free or very low cost meeting places for support groups, as do public libraries, schools, and community centers. By becoming the "wounded healer", you take charge of your situation and assume control of healing your wounds, along with those of others.

The journey towards cure begins with the first proactive step! I was diagnosed with metastatic teratoma when I was 28, I just celebrated my 59th birthday!

Love, Courage, and Peace of Mind!

Rick

Rick,
I am checking out these other ideals . Most the groups I have found are for one type of cancer. And are 25 miles away. I will check into the other places.
Thank is great, Each time I hear of someone who has come so far I run and tell my husband. Hope is what we have right now. People like you are the reason we can have hope!
You need to shout this on all the sites. Amazing Thank you so much made my day!
