what are those things next to your name

I know someone said what it was but Ihave been here a year and I cant remember. I think I was too sick at the time. I dont wear my glasses on the computer and I know they arent but they look like rubber duckies to me, and I love rubber duckies.

    Rubber duckies...LOL!
    Everyone likes those cute little rubber duckies...but in this case they are an icon remembling a person with either a - or + next to it.
    If you click on it you can add that person to your friend list. The - means that person is your friend and the + means you havent added that person as your friend yet.

    they are not rubber duckies, sorry to disappoint you! when you're logged in, a little person with a + sign appears next to a person's name if they are not 'your friend.' If you hit the + sign, that person will be added to your friend list. I can't remember what is there if that person is already you're friend ... is it a - sign?

    But it is a little person. I think I would prefer a rubber duckie, though! :))

    Yes
    There isn't a person next to our own name because we cannot friend ourselves or unfriend ourselves ... LOL!

    sometimes I wish I could
    sometimes I wish I could unfriend myself LOl I remember wanting to run away but thinking but I would still have to take my body with me!!! anyway I feel like everyone is my friend love you all.

    I like to think that it is because it is a given that we are already our best advocate, we are here for support in the decisions we make, and because we are our own best friend we don't NEED to see the Rubber Duckie Icon ( LOVE that!!) next to our own names! As they say, that's my story and I'm sticking with it!~ LOL
