I seem to be having alot of pain in my chest and down my arm and wrist. Its seems to go down on the in part of the arm when I reach for anything, and tightness in my chest which feels like something squeeing me to tight. Specially when I get up in the morning. Has any one eles experienced this type of pain and how long does it last I am 6 weeks out from my second surgery for the mastsectomy.

I also had that pain going
I also had that pain going down my arm and into my wrist. Mine lasted for maybe 3 months, I used to kid about how the pain kept getting further down my arm and that I wondered if when it got to the end of my finger tips if the pain would just "fall off". I asked the Dr.'s they never really had an answer. But when it did get to the end of my fingers it did "FALL OFF"and I haven't had that pain since. I am coming up on 2 years the ned of this month.

    Hi
I am a year out from mast. as of ast June. I did have tram-flap recon in December. I think the pains you are experiencing are very normal. I don't have much pain in my arms anymore and none in my hand and wrists, however, I still have that tightness in my chest. I'm sure that in time that too will go away. god bless.

    pain
    Hi r2q4u,

I had my double mast. on 9/9/09 and it took at least 8 months for me to get to a point where I did not have any radiating pain from the surgery.

Remember to be careful and not carry the groceries in ;)and all that.

    Less is best.

I think some of it is nerve
I think some of it is nerve pain, from cutting nerves during surgery. i remembered it more from my first surgery and it did go away

    inflamed liagments
i was told on mine that it was inflamed liagments and sent to the lymphiademia specialist which really helped.
