It seems like a long time to wait for a week after a mastectomy to hear the results of the pathology report. My lymph nodes were negative and I'm glad for that. I had a second very small area near my chest wall that they weren't able to biopsy before surgery. I'm hoping to hear that I didn't have cancer there. Actually, I'm feeling pretty calm, but if cancer has spread to my chest wall, I will want more tests to see if it has spread anywhere else.

    Waiting is one of the
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of being a survivor. All I can say is try to find things to do to keep your mind occupied while you wait. Start a new hobby (crafts, sewing, crochet, painting, writing poetry...), call a friend to come visit you or take you out, write letters to friends/family you don't see very often, make a gift for someone else you know who is having a hard time and take it to them, whatever you can think of that you feel up to doing.

    take care of yourself, seof

    I couldn't agree any more
I couldn't agree any more with what our dear Seof said~ none of us likes the wait, and it seems to always take forever! Occupy yourself with busy work, anything to distract yourself.
We will be thinking of you, and with good thoughts that your patholgoy comes back not only quickly, but with good results!

    Hugs,
    chen♥

    Negative nodes -- great!
That, at least, is excellent news while you wait for the other report. I'm glad you are feeling calm -- that's a blessing, too. Do something fun and/or peaceful for yourself this week!

    negative nodes
negative nodes, hey that's great! I know waiting for the rest of the report really sucks.
Keep busy, watch funny movies, read a good book, just enjoy life. Right now, I'm watching a baby skunk playing in my front yard. He's soooo cute. It's the little things, ya know?
