Question about esophageal stent

Has anyone had problems with their stent plugging? He has had it happen twice now. After some time and a fizzy drink it came unclogged.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone.

    Hi Nancy and Welcome My dad had a stent put in his esophagus this past December. He did not have any problems with it at all, but the drs did tell us about the carbonated drinks helping if something gets stuck. It also sounds like he might need to have a dilation done. I would suggest talking to the dr about this problem. Good luck. My dad unfortunately lost his battle with ec in March. Keep up the fight, and stay positive.
