Hi Invisi-Sistas!

In a vane attempt to justify my primary coping mechanism of eating-especilly while I set and drink Diet Cokes and snack on whatever while I write to you all.

I'd love to know what foods make YOU happy?

Me? Definitely, whipped cream with chocolate chips between 7p-10p.
After 10p, FiberOne Caramel cereal all the way!

Why do I have to be so lame as to love FiberOne?? Ahhhhh!

xxoo,

    Like Wendy...but better! :-)
I'm a picky little ice cream princess -- MUST BE Ben & Jerry's Phish Food.

Doesn't matter how sad or frustrated or pissed off I am -- curling up on the couch with a pint of Phish Food makes anything better.

And it MUST be out of the carton -- I guess that makes me feel like I'm being naughty or something....It's seriously been YEARS since I actually ate ice cream out of a real bowl!

    Chips and salsa
Is a food I can't live without. It's even better when it's a prelude to a plate of tacos, enchiladas, tamales, or just about anything Mexican.

And like so many others on this board, ICE CREAM - English Toffee is actually my all-time favorite but since it's so hard to find, chocolate fudge will do nicely, thank you very much.

OK - now I have to go see what I have in the freezer!

And McDonald's french fries. There are no other fries that hit the spot like those do.

    Chocolate
This has been my comfort food for years. My husband and I just recently discovered a wonderful chocolate ice cream by Blue Bell......Nutty Chocolate. It is heavenly. I would like to be like Traci and just eat it out of the container, but the container is a half gallon. Do you think that would matter? LOL.

I'm not too big on ice cream
I'm not too big on ice cream -but when I do get a craving for it i like mint chip -with graham cracker crumbs on the bottom of the bowl, then ice cream, then more crumbs, then some chocolate syrup -only Hershey's will do...my favorite comfort food of all time though is buffalo wings and a big glass of icy coke!

    Comfort foods
Fun topic. So, I eat really healthy all week long. HOWEVER, I allow myself a Friday night meal of whatever I want. It helps keep me on track the rest of the week. I'm usually thinking about what I want all week.

What I usually crave most are sushi and cheeseburgers. Weird combo, huh? I could have both in one meal if I could find such a restaurant. For tomorrow's dinner, I'm thinking either those two, potato skins, chicken and waffles, or steamed shrimp dumplings. Oh no, I have to hold out until tomorrow! LOL.

    My mouth is watering!
Just reading your posts, gals, I got to thinking about the best soft pretzels in the whole wide world - at JoJo's at the Davis Mercantile in Shipshewana, Indiana. I'm heading there for vacation and it's going to be JoJo's every day for lunch!!! Dipped in the sweet honey mustard... Oh dear!!!

Am I the only one that lost most of my taste for sweets while on chemo?? Not that it is a bad thing but it is hard to change habits after so many years. My husband swears that I only have one taste bud active at a time - I crave foods but whatever it is this week is probably going to be something different next week. Probably the one consistent thing that I loved before and still want every couple of weeks is nice, warm pizza and wings. No redeeming nutritional value whatsoever but it still feels like the big splurge!

    Snack Snob
Cool Topic. I'm typically a bit of a snack snob. I love fruit, cheese and red wine. Not just regular cheese, snobby soft cheeses like goat cheese, gorgonzola or brie. While I was so sick everything changed - I lived on Cheez-Its and Ginger Ale (with bouts of Strawberry Twizzlers). Has anyone else done a complete appetite turn around like that?

Greyhoundluvr: I, too, had no interest in chocolate or sweets during chemo. However, now that treatments are behind me, I'm all about them again! Could this be part of my weight gain issue? Maybe it's not the tamoxifen after all!!
