Tired of waiting

I am doing the pre-op on 6/29 and surgery scheduled for 7/8. Everything is ready to go. I am mentally prepared and the doctors have given me nothing to do but think. I think about the bad and I think about the good and then the bad creeps back in and I try to remember to good. Could we please get this going, I am mentally ready and the waiting is making things worse ? Any suggestions about waiting and patience..

    waiting sucks
But it does give you time to prepare. Exactly what are you having done?

the waiting is the worst part
too much time for your head to go crazy.

BUT, it's a lot of time to get educated, to get stuff done and be ready for whatever is coming next. Try try try to view it as a positive thing. Easier said than done, I know:)

    A big hug to you,

    I prayed alot!
Especially during the "waiting" times, I just had conversations with God. He heard all my gripes, fears and complaints. And then I would read the Bible and find the most soothing verses within His words...or I would listen to K-Love (Spiritual Christian music) and just the right lyrics would play, giving me some comfort.

The fear still comes back like a yo-yo but those were the things that made my wating bearable.

Prayers and blessing your way dear!

    The waiting is hell. Keep
The waiting is hell. Keep yourself as busy as you can, ask doctor for some meds to help you get through the wait.

Busy with satisfying things and people
There were two agonizing months between my first diagnoses and my mastectomy. In between the worrying and mind tricks, I cleaned closets and sorted stuff like crazy. My friend and I made a gajillion hats. My family kept asking if I should be relaxing. Nope!

My point is, it helped me to keep busy with things unrelated to my upcoming surgery and with people I enjoyed.

    The waiting does suck! But,
The waiting does suck! But, do as the others said, keep yourself busy. If you have stuff to do around your home, do that. Tackle a closet, clean your kitchen cabinets out, go outside and garden, have lunch with your girlfriends, just do something, and, if it makes you happy, then do that, whatever it is.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

    I stayed busy. Cleaning,
I stayed busy. Cleaning, listen to music, read, talk to God. It will be here before you know it.
