There are 2 people available to weigh you. I am never going to let one person weigh me for 2 reasons. First, I can't read his handwriting. Second, he doesn't know math. I am going to have to figure out how I can tactfully avoid him and go to the other person. Not so easy to accomplish.

Last night I was late, that person was gone, and the lecturer weigh me. Outcome:

Loss 1 lb. 6 oz.
Total Weight Loss 13 lbs. 4 oz.

Walked 5 days, 1 hour per day.

I finally started using my new weight watcher scale. My old scale was not weighing the foods accurately. Found out that I have been eating too much salmon per meal. I'm not sure how much more I was eating, but I definitely was eating more than I should have per meal. I had the new scale for a few weeks, but it is digital and comes with a lot of bells and whistles. One more thing for me to learn. Sunday, I calmly sat down, read the instructions, and was able to operate it as far as weighing the food. I need to learn the other bells and whistles.

To those of you out there, remember that I am 69 years old, still working a full time job (my choice), and still learning.

Lots of Hugs,
Janelle

    Look at you!!!! You have
Look at you!!!! You have lost more than a Bakers Dozen~ how wonderful! Odd about perception; it never occurred to me that a MAN would be doing the weigh-ins! Seems wrong somehow, though I am not quite sure why! I will have to ponder my man-bias! LOL

You give inspiration to so many of us, Janelle~ my sister just joined WW online, and I told her how up-front, honest and brave you are to make us part of the group you "report" to every week! She was impressed!

I have no doubt that you will figure out the bells and whistles on your new scale. When you do, would you mind to pop over to my place and show me how to program my TV/DVD player? LOL

    Congratulations to you!

I am especially happy about the walking you are doing; it is truly paramount to good health and weight loss. You are a living testament to that!

    Janelle,
    You are inspiring.

    Janelle,
You are inspiring. So happy you are consistently losing weight and exercising. Keep up the good work and inspire us even more. One way to avoid the weigh person, is just as it looks like you are getting to him, tell whoever is behind you to go ahead that you need just one more moment to prepare LOL for the weigh in. Or just tell him nicely to write so you can read it and if he makes a math mistake call him on it nicely. It's important that this is accurate.

Congrats on your weight loss, I know it is difficult. I am a lifetime member, and need to lose about 80 pounds. Not because it isn't a great plan, but because I wasn't a great maintenance person, obviously!! You are inspiring to me and maybe I could start going again. Now, in addition to the mastectomy, cancer, etc., now I am a diabetic. I feel like things are definitely falling apart and if I could lose some weight, many of my health issues would improve. Keep it up!! The exercise and healthy eating is great.

How was your doc visit? have you gotten your biopsy results yet? Somehow I missed your post.

    How Sweet To Remember
    Dear New Flower,

I also cannot find that post at the moment. The good news is that I just found out 1/2 hour ago (4/28/10 9:10 a.m.) that the biospy was fine on the left reconstructed breast (my good breast that did not have cancer). It is a bright, sunny day in Chicago - matches my happiness at the good news.

Thank you so much for asking. You touched me. Have a grand day today.

Lots of Love and Lots of Hugs,
    Janelle
