Jessica,
I know you have read my post regarding my husband. I see William and Sherri have already sent you messages. I know when you have time you will update us with more info. The only advise I can give you at this point is you need to be aggressive in your treatment. If the dr's say "no hope,"......get another dr. There is always hope. And get his tumor tested...see if it is HER2 positive. This is important. My husband's (Charlie) tumor is positive and he is able to have Herceptin and he swears it is what is keeping in remission. I would suggest settng up a CaringBridge site as well....and get the word out....let people know you have such a site and get people praying. You already have everyone here on the CSN site praying....I firmly believe in the power of prayer.
Stay strong,
Jane

    thank you Jane
    Jane,

I am so happy for you that your husband Charlie is in remission. That is what we are praying for. We have an appointment at The James cancer hospital at Ohio State University tomorrow morning. We know for sure that it is stage IV because it has spread from the esophagus to the liver (results of MRI and biopsy). My dad's (Dave) tumor is at the bottom of his esophagus- I think I saw on your profile that Charlie's is, too. I have made note of the HER2 positive...I will ask the doctor about this tomorrow.

Thank you so much for writing,
    Jessica
