Hi All,
I'm sitting in the chemo room with **** right now as he gets his 24th and hopefully last chemo. He should have finished 10 days ago but his step father passed away and we flew to Boston to be with family. After that we flew to Kona and stayed in our friends' beautiful home for a few days. In the midst of all of that cancer still lurks in the back of our minds. I know you all know how that is, there are good days, very good days but the thought of cancer creeps in a various times. I thought about all of you a lot because we had time to relax in Kona. I prayed a lot for you, I know you have all been through so much.
**** will have a PET scan in about 10 days. Please pray, send good thoughts, and keep him in mind for the upcoming scan. We want NED. I'll keep you posted as we get closer.

Aloha,
Kathleen

    Dear Ones,

I've been thinking alot about you lately and keeping you in prayer. This has been a long, long road and I am so glad that you are coming to the end of the chemo. I pray that all the tests come back clear and that you begin to heal and gain strength. I want you to know that sometimes after chemo is over our emotions let go. I know as long as I was on chemo and seeing doctors and nurses all the time I felt like I was fighting. Then the day came when my chemo was over and I felt kind of lonely. Felt like I needed to be doing something. I don't quite know how to explain it. Anybody else experience this? Just wanted to give you a heads up that if this happens you are not alone. Maybe just knowing ahead of time will help. I hope so.

So glad you got some time to relax and recoup. Let us know how things are going and thanks for your prayers.

    Blessings and hugs,

    Debbie (gramma)

You are all wonderful! Thank you for your prayers. I hope that this last bit of chemo totally destroys any cancer that could be left. Your thoughts and prayers are powerful and sustaining.

Please tell **** "job well done" 24 treatments, that is a lot, but if it gets you to NED it is all worth it. I see Roger has given **** a new nickname. Will be thinking of all of you and for a good PET scan. Take a deep breath, get some good rest and relax a little. Tina

A friend of George's, his daughter, age 23, just completed treatment for breast cancer, she got through the chemo, the lumpectomy (we were so thankful it was not a mastectomy at her tender age) like a trooper but at her last radiation treatment on her blog she noted the same thing, she broke down in tears, she had never done that, seemed like that lifeline was gone and she felt very lonely. Guess these feelings are very common. Take care - Tina
