edited March 2014 in Esophageal Cancer #1
Hi,
Well it was worth all the food coloring and drips all over!!! The patients and nurses loved my green mohawk for St. Patty's Day. And it made my day too. My onc dr was having a very bad day with a new patient added that put him way behind, my appt was 10:30 and I saw him after 12 noon and he got a big kick out of my hair. The people laughed and even had me show it to more people to get them to laugh. We all had fun and I met so many nice people one lady came over to shake my hand and said how much she enjoyed it and heard many jokes and nice stories. And it must have given me luck no problems with chemo and bloodwork and everything went wonderful and the craft lady helped me make a beautiful bracelet which is mostly teal for Esophageal Cancer although I have seen blue and gold for it also, so I am one happy camper. If I can't get the pics right on my CSN site, hopefully I will, thanks to Kim's good directions, send me an email if you haven't already to say you want to see, I will send it to your regular email, my email address is hoperene@aol.com and I welcome any emails don't have to be about the pics. today I get my Neulasta shot and then hopefully no more trips to the Cancer Institute, except to show them how good I am going to do. Get my CT scan in a couple of weeks so I will be asking for prayers for that. take care everyone, prayers always,

    I remember Ollie
    Hi William and Loretta,
Being 65, I remember Kukla, Fran and Ollie and the big white teeth!! Thanks for giving me that mental picture and thanks for the laughs too. I am so grateful that I have gotten this far, after my Ct scan comes back clear I will feel a lot better, but I am thanking God for all the blessings. After all that people on this board have gone thru, my journey although hard has been easier than many and I have cried over all who lost the battle and their brave struggles and their wonderful caretakers. So to get to this point, how lucky am I. Prayers for all, take care,
Donna70 PS. hope the dental work goes better than expected!!!

    Hi Tina,
Just thanks, the prayers are what is keeping me putting one step forward. I tell everyone who prays for me that I pray for them and sometimes during this journey when the patient is too nervous and scared to pray much, the prayers of others are coming thru for them. thanks again and hope is going alright with your Dad. take care, prayers always!!

    Saw your pic on facebook
    Hi Donna,
I believe I just saw you on facebook. I was on the Esophogeal Awareness site and I think your son posted your pic.....unless there were 2 people that dyed their mohawk green. Loved it...your looked great. God Bless you and stay strong,
    Jane
