Hello all, I had the Sir Spheres procedure done on the left lobe of my liver this past Thursday. He wanted to keep me in the hospital overnight this time for pain mgmt. I really could have stayed longer as I have experienced a great deal of pain from the procedure. I have been taking pain medication around the clock since Friday after checkout from the hospital. It seems to be a little worse on the left lobe, I am not really sure why. I hope that things get better. He does not want a scan until 6 weeks from now so, that will put me in at around sometime in April to see the results. I am so anxious to see if it is working. I go back on chemo next week if I am feeling up to it and at that time they will add avastan back into the regimen. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that I will get maximum benefit from this procedure.I am so hoping that this will enable me to get the RFA done on my liver, it would be great if it just melted away the tumors all together. I will keep you all posted. Thanks for the support, Patti

    Good
To hear from you Patti, hopefully they'll get that pain under control soon, and I'd rather be home recovering then a hospital anyday! But glad to hear your doing well, and hope you are able to bounce back soon!

    Hugsss!

    Hi Patti
Glad to see your post and that you did get your second treatment. Sorry about the pain, hopefully it eases up in the next few days and you can get it under control. Do the docs have any idea if this is working at all from blood work or something? What kind of chemo will you be starting next week.

Take care my friend - Tina

Tina, I do not know if it is
Tina, I do not know if it is working, the last cea test I had before we did the left lobe showed it was down from 32 to 17 not sure if that is the sir spheres or not. I will go back on CPT11 but they will add avastan back to the regimen. Thanks, Patti

    Sounds Good!
This sounds like a very aggressive and hopeful program. It is nice to see the Avastin added for good measure!

RFA is a wonderful procedure. I'll look forward to your having it to eliminate any residual liver tumours.

Hang in there Patti! We're all with you!
