"Im a-leavin on a jet plane" (well, almost...lol):

So, as you all are enjoying one last piece of pie, think of me fighting with the porter, ticket agent, and security at LAX!!!!!

I have posted a pic on my expressions page of what I have been working on for the last 3 months!!!!!

It is a felt stocking for my 'little' (almost 30) step daughter. Last Christmas, she spied my daughter's, that I had made when she was 6 or so. She said, with great emotion, "My mom never made ME anything like that!!!!". So, of course, I went and got a kit at the craft store. They sure have gotten more involved in 25 years...every other piece stuffed, etc...

But IT'S DONE!!!! YEA!!!!

And, I wrote a poem, which I will wrap for her to open, that leads to the fireplace where the stocking will be hung (with care, I might add...lol...it took over 80 hours to make!!!). I only hope that the grinch (her mom) doesn't get offended and does damage to it!!!!

The poem:
‘Twas 3 months before Christmas and all thru the city
Not a glimmer of Santa…Too soon! What a pity!
One faithful pilgrim, weary from travel.
Sought the mystery of craft shops her goal to unravel.

When out of a shadowy corner did peek
A splendor so great, IT WAS WHAT she did seek!!!!!
Off to the register, right out the door
Not knowing what perils this task had in store.

She bent to her needle, hard pressed she did toil.
Even to warm lands, where seas seemed to boil.
A snip of a thread, a shiny white bead.
She hoped that completion is where this did lead!

So quick to the chimney, and look with great care,
A present for Sarah, I hope you find there.
