Hello and how is everyone? i don't know what happen before i was told that i had bc i wear makeup everyday even if i was not going anyplace. my sister looked at me and said can i please have my old sister back,so for her and for my self i went and got me some mac make up spent a little to much(a little over 80.00) but when i got home and put it on i was like wow this dose look like the old Stephanie now with out the hair but with a hat on you cant tell.sometime we have to do things that we use to do that make us feel good and also look good.i am going to put it on everyday and will find some place to go.

    For me it is just the opposite, I never wore lipstick, just basic base and I rarely wore eye shawdow. The third time I had cancer I decided I was looking too pale and needed to perk myself up for me. I began wearing long lasting lipstick and eye shawdow, even mascara sometimes.....ohhhh what a dare devil I am! ;-) Well now I wear it regularly, I even put on my long wear lipstick before bed....looking better simply made me feel so much better and lifted my spirits, you are on to something!

    I made a promise to myself
    I made a promise to myself that I would not go into the cancer center without makeup. I always wore it before cancer and wanted to keep that part of me. I only missed once when I was dehydrated and needed to get in there fast.

    There's a nonprofit organization called Look Good, Feel Better that comes into cancer centers to do makeup and wig makeovers. It doesn't cost anything to go.

    We need to do everything we can to keep our spirits up!

    I am a makeup person myself...even when I feel lousy... I think if we look our best (even at our worst) it makes us feel better...(even when we feel crappy)... My slogan.. fake it till you make it!

    I always feel better when I have makeup on. It puts an extra bounce in my step. lol

    The mall always cheered me
    The mall always cheered me up. I would go in Sephora and they do your make up, i would walk out a different person. Put on some perfume also. Shortcake, glad you had a good day

    I used to be into Mary Kay,
    I used to be into Mary Kay, never sold it, just became a distributor to get my makeup cheaper. I don't put makeup on every day but always use cleansers and moisturizers, toners, every day. I'm hoping I can keep it up while I'm going for treatments and I plan to have makeup on when I go for my surgery. What do the rest of you do when it comes to surgery/ makeup or not? Shortscake, you're such a pretty woman, you dont need anything.
