They are recommending my dad get a stent put in the esophagus to open the narrowing. Has anyone else had one put in? How did it go?? Thanks |

Hi E,
Al had one the entire time he was having chemo. The took it out during his surgery along with the CANCER. It may take him a little while to get used to it. It what kept Al from not needing a feeding tube until he had his surgery. I think that WildGoose has one also.
It's a good thing you want your Dad to be able to eat. He may have to be on a soft food diet. I'm sure you Mom is used to that from chemo.
They put in with and endoscope. He will be asleep for the proceedure.
