Hi,
Just wanted to update you all, my biopsies from last weeks EGD are all negative the dr did not see the tumor per se, he said mine is subtle and he did not have the ultrasound camera to examine the area but said that is a good sign that all the biopsies were negative, my husband believes he did maybe 5 of the surrounding areas. So we are all happy and grateful for all the prayers and support that have been so generously given to us. It is hard to believe that I have less than 3 wks before surgery. Hard to believe 12/8 is so close. take care and everyone stay strong and keep praying for Kitten as William Marshall has so beautifully written, she has been the wing beneath all of our wings to never give up hope. take care,

Hey Donna -

We're "on a roll"--now it's up to Wildgoose to keep it going!

It's so uplifting to see more and more having success with pre-op treatments. I know you thought "it" would kill you before "it would kill the cancer"! You know what I mean. I had such mild reactions to chemo compared to what you and Wildgoose, as well as countless others have endured!

Truly, God must be running a special on miracles. You know there is a story in the Bible about a pool in Bethesda. Periodically the "angel of the Lord stirred the waters" and whoever stepped in the "troubled waters" was healed. (The invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me. --John 5:7 (Amplified Bible)
Would to God we had one of those pools nearby. I know that God doesn't promise us that we'll never suffer sickness. It's part of the curse placed on the Earth. It began when our first "Mom & Pop" decided to disobey God. Of course, as is often the case today, (Loretta would say always), man blamed his wife. "This woman that YOU gave ME! We can surely attest to the fact that "Cancer is a Curse"!

However, God is still a God of Mercy. Unseen angels are still "stirring the waters" so to speak, and God is still working miracles even though we continue to disobey. But Revelation promises there will be a new day when there will be a new Heaven and a New Earth. ("Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." -- Revelation 21:1-4)

God has promised a "New World Order", but it certainly won't be brought about by any man living on this present planet! Call me crazy, but I choose to believe that God cannot lie and that I can depend on Him for now and always. In the here and now, we wrestle with pain and suffering. And yet He's "still stirring the waters" and miracles are still happening. Even if I die tomorrow, I've had my miracle--7 additional years "statistics" said I would most likely not enjoy!

We've put December 8 on the calendar. Suspense will build, but you have total confidence in your doctors. You have "weathered the worst storm". We'll be praying that the operation will be nothing more than a "clean-up crew", making things look like new!

May God continue to surround you with His power and presence. He deserves the credit.

And I always thank our extremely-gifted and talented doctors here in America who intend to give us the best that they can give--as long as Uncle Sam stays out of the operating room!

God bless you.

P.S. Has Ron messed in his "Big Boy Pants"? Let us know if we have to ship some more. Do you need another pair for the operation, or can you just "rinse out the ones you've been wearing". You know Faith Federal Express never takes a vacation.

Hi,
There is nothing like everyone rejoicing with you. so thanks for being so happy for me, it makes it double the joy. The drs did pull a surprise when I was getting my infusion yesterday. I am supposed to go in and get an NG tube down my nose today, my weight loss is going to affect how I heal and the drs say I cannot go into surgery at the weight I am and must have supplemental nutrition so I will have 12 hr feedings thru my nose, ackkk!!! if they can't do the ng right then I will have to have the j tube placed next week. So say a prayer that all goes well. Visiting nurses are supposed to teach me how to do this. My grands are supposed to come and stay overnight so they will get more medical knowledge than they bargained for but one watches ER all the time anyway. thanks again for the encouragement.

Donna----wonderful news!!! just keep plugging along...you're doing the right things. It will easier to have the nutrition through the nose than what you have been dealing with. My dad isn't still loosing weight so he's not getting the tube before surgery (12/2), but I kind of wish they would to fatten him up a little. :) I'll keep praying for you ---and all these other nice folks on this site.
Hang in there----you're going to do fine!

Hi Kim,
What kind of surgery is your Dad getting the open or lap type? We are going to be pretty close for surgical dates. Think I just want to get it over with,I love Xmas and this is going to be one strange one. I will be praying for your Dad, glad he is not losing any more weight and hope he can swallow soon so he can fatten up after surgery. thanks again and like you said prayers for all on this site!!! take care,
