Well Jack is still fighting and holding on, his body is starting to shutting down but is heart is so strong, he woke up yesterday Told me he loved me, held me and took his drums sticks and held them in the air, and has not woke up since, He is on a pain pump now because his feeding is no longer working, so we can not give him any meds through his tube or give him any food, and hospice will not replace it which I have a real problem with. Hospice feels like it they replace his tube it will prolong his life, and that is not what they are about, so he has not eaten in 3 days, I just hope he is so sedated that he does not realize he is hungry, My heart is breaking for Jack We just lay here and listen for his breathing he is taking 2 breaths a minute, it is horrible to watch now, we dont sleep, he does not have his regular nurse for the next couple days, so I have to stay up in case he needs suction, I dont understand why they send these nurses out, that have no experience with trachea care, they have no clue how to suction and they actually sent one out that did not how to work with a feeding tube, now these nurse get paid like 30 an hour, it makes you wonder, Im am so sad and i know the time is getting closer and closer before he takes his journey, Im trying to be strong, I have my meltdown, Im just so lost and I just cant imagaine my life without Jack,

Keep Jack in your prayers,

    Prayers
I am so sorry you are going through this. When my husband could no longer get out of bed, I prayed for a quick and peaceful passing. We were lucky that our prayers were answered. He was only down and unable to communicate for a day. I miss him, but I take comfort in knowing that that was best for him. All we can do is love and care for them. My husband did not eat the day before he could no longer communicate. He said he wasn't hungry. Jack may feel that way, too. Watching our loved ones go through this, watching their bodies shut down is very hard. My prayers are with you. Fay
