Hello all my Sisters!! Yesterday was our Race for the cure and it was a very cold day here!!! I had on 6 layers and still got a bit chilled when those little gusts of wind blew through.. brrrr.. This was my first year to not only be a survivor but to participate.. It was really great. Some of the pople I worked with joined me and treated me like I was thier Queen for the day... They kept grabbing my camera and taking pics of me doing all kinds of things. I felt very special!!! I did fine until they called all us Survivors to the ball field to reconize us and our battle.. As i started down the steps and looked at the line of people cheering us on the tears just started falling... I was by myself walking when another sister suddenly was next to me and said I don't want either of us to walk alone can I walk with you??.. and then she reached up and wiped one of my tears away... BLESS HER!!! We walked around the ball field together and the crowd just clapped and cheered all of us survivors!!! The oldest Survivor was "91"!!!! That was very inspiring!!! I put pics of my day on my expressions page for all of you to peek at... Thanks to all of you for all the support you've given me and all of us here!!!

    SO happy
that you found someone to take the Survivor's Walk with - it was good for both of you, I'm sure.
Love your ball cap - did you get it at the Race for a Cure?

I went to my one and only
I went to my one and only Race for the Cure the year after treatment. It's just too emotional for me.

I am very proud of you. I have a survivor cap just like that from my walk in Denver. My best to you.

    Marcia...
I can totally understand your feelings about participation in an event like Race for the Cure.

Please allow me to compliment you here, on the board. For the ever present and steadfast support and encouragement you so freely give to so many. Always with an open heart, and very often with a sense of humor

    Kind regards, Susan

Calleen, I saw your great photos on Myspace last night! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Its a whole different feeling doing the walk as a survivor, isn't it? Mine was yesterday. I am loading my photos to Myspace right now.
