can anyone tell me if it is common for a PET scan done three months after concluding radiation and chemo treatments still show "significantly DECREASED activity" in the original surgery location?
I had nasal cancer surgery in early March and lost half of the roof of my mouth, the right side of my upper jaw, part of my right cheek bone, muscle and tissue from my right cheek and the lymph gland on the right side of my neck. The PET scan was 'clear' from my waist up past the neck surgical areas, but showed "significantly decreased activity" in the nasal cavity. Should it be clear by now as well, or any ideas???
Thanks
