Hello,

My name is Susan, and I am visiting from the Ovarian Cancer section (I am just finishing up 3rd set of chemo).

I just wanted to share a little advice for the precious children & others who are suffering through so much; including repeated, uncomfortable needle-sticks.

I have a Porta-cathe, and my Dr. gave me numbing cream (Lidocaine/Prilocaine) to apply to my port before use to avoid feeling the needle. This gave me the idea for trying it on my arm for blood tests; and it works GREAT!! I'm also going to ask if I can have it before my next I.V.

Anyway, maybe this little trick can make something a little easier for your little one; or you. (just apply 1 hour before it's 'time'). Ask your doctor about it.

God Bless, and you are all in my prayers~

~Susan xoxo
