The following worked for me and just passing on because it might help someone else.

If I ate chocolate or had caffeine in the afternoon or evening then the night sweats were worse--cut that out and was more tolerable.

I could not stand waking up at night and the cotton sheets were totally drenched so I bought a pair of jersey material sheets and seems to help--they soak up the wetness and doesn't feel like the sheets just came out of the washing machine. I have been sleeping better with the jersey sheets.

Also during the day I sometimes use the neck wraps that you can soak in cold water and throw it in the freezer for 15-30 minutes and then wrap it around your neck. Keeps you cool.

Hope this helps some ladies who are either going through regular menopause or chemo induce menopause.

Hugs to all,
Margo

    For everyone who is going

For everyone who is going through menopause, or perimenopause, there is a great book on the topic written by Dr. Susan Love. She is the author of the 'bible' on breast cancer that I used for good reliable information when I was diagnosed in 2000. Dr. Love struggled as she was going through menopause and decided to learn everything she could about it and then wrote "Dr. Susan Love's Menopause and Hormone Book: Making Informed Choices". My surgeon had a copy of it in her waiting room, and I had to wait so long that I was able to read most of the chapters of interest to me.

Thanks for the advice. I did the neck thing with a cold wash cloth durning the day. It works great or I would not get anything done. Can't stand to be hot.
