I am currently on FMLA from my workplace to care for my husband with NSCLC. He was diagnosed in Dec 2006. He had radiation & chemo back in Jan 07 and finished treatments by June 07. He had about a year with PET/CT scans showing up clean but had a recurrence show up in the lymphnodes and a tumor appeared in his neck in July 08. With the recurrence he underwent radiation & chemo again, finishing treatments in Nov & Dec 08. In Feb 09 he began taking Tarceva oral chemo, initially scheduled for 60 days of treatment. Upon his oncology appt in early April, doc says to continue Tarceva indefinitely. Husband was very discouraged. Anyone out there with experience with this drug?

My wife just started treceva, it's her first month. She has a little rash but not a lot, a couple of mouth sores. But better hygiene practices have cured those. She also gets a once monthly zometa treatment, with an avastin iv to top it off.I hope you were able to get some help paying for tarceve, that stuff will drain a wallet fast.I belive if you look up wicker woman she tell you more in her blog and she is in chat from time to time. Hope this helps. Keep in touch
