ganglioneuroma survivors subsequent to surviving cancer?

Is there anyone else out there who survived a childhood cancer and subsequently got a ganglioneuroma? I survived a neuroblastoma in 1958 when I was an infant and was given radiation therapy before anyone knew better. In 1979 my first surgery to remove a ganglioneuroma from my spine was done. They got about 80% out with minimal neurological deficits. Then last year, 2008, I had to have surgery again to remove as much of the ganglioneuroma taken out as they could get. This time they think they got about 90%, but I certainly had worse neurological damage--I've got damage at L4, L5 and down thru S1,2 & 3. I'm learning to walk again and still counting my blessings. Wondering if anyone else has faced anything similar? --Maryruth
