I know you're all worried about Peggy & her husband. An update:

I emailed Peggy and got a couple of fast replies from her. I know you are all concerned, so I wanted to get you an update. My heart just breaks for her, as in her very short emails, she says 'No energy.'; 'Grim'.

Her husband is in incredible excrutiating pain that even the oxycodene every 2 hours isn't touching. He is out of the hospital and home with her now, and they are driving to Rochester, NY to the Mayo Clinic this Sunday, staying overnight and then have an appointment there Monday. Peggy says that they are looking at pancreatic cancer or an immune disease where your own pancreatic juices makes it eat itself. Her husband had another day of tests last Monday which Peggy described as a 'brutal day'.

I know nothing about pancreatic pain, but I found a URL that describes it that may help you understand what Peggy is going through as the caregiver and spouse:
http://www.uptodate.com/patients/content/topic.do?topicKey=digestiv/5269

I know you will put Peggy and her husband in your prayers.

When you get time to read these, know that I am praying for you and your husband and holding your hand from afar.
Be strong and take care.
Blessings,

Thank you... all of you. May you find this kind of support when you need it too. It breaks my heart to know how much you all care when you have such loads to carry too. My husband is having one of his better days today and it is easier to try to make it until Monday morning at 7:00. He can get the final test (specialized endoscopy) to tell us what this mass is that we are fighting. Mayo is supposed to be the best so I know that a combination of their expertise and all of your wonderful heartfelt prayers will get us through. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Peggy PS lack of sleep is my excuse for any/many errors!!

My heart goes out to you and your husband. I pray that you get some answers at Mayos and that you can know what you are dealing with. The unknown is so worriesome. I pray that God will give you and your husband comfort and peace. Have a safe trip.
