Hi, completed treatment in Dec. Took enzyme test yesterday and it revealed my liver enzymes are still elevated. Has anyone else had this to occur and what did you or the doctors do for you. My oncologist said today that he is not that concerned about it right now. He's saying that it will go down on it's own. He did say that if I was still concerned after another test in March, that he would do another CT scan for my benefit; but again he is not that conerned.

Thanks you guys again,
Valerie Stage 3 colon cancer

also had high liver enzyme levels
    Hi,

Just to let you know, my doctors also said it's common for the liver enzymes to be elevated during and after chemotherapy. They were high following my liver resection surgery & came to normal levels probably 4 months after surgery. Unfortunately, I had to start chemo & they went up again, where they currently remain. My Dr. isn't concerned- says it's the side effect from the chemo. Hope this helps-
