Hi Everyone....
just learning the site's technology and I replied to a thread instead of introducing myself. So please bear with the repeat introduction....
I had surgery on 1/16/09 for removal of a blue nevus from my temporal muscle and the pathology came back stage III melanoma. I had a clean pet scan following the surgery and have had two radiation treatments and one microwave thermal therapy treatment. I am to have a total of five radiation treatments and three microwave treatments and then on to a year's worth of Luekine instead of interferon. Any input and knowledge would be greatly appreciated and I am glad to have found a site to get and hopefully give kind support.
I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi Silverqueen,

Hi Silverqueen,
I am a 34 year old female with Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma. Tonight was my 5th injection of Luekine and I am hanging in. I tried this medicine in Feb 09 and after 9 injections had to stop due to severe bone pain. My doctor feels this is my best chance since I do not qualify for ANY clinical trials. How has your experience been on Luekine? I have never heard of your treatment plan. I would like to know more if you do not mind. Currently, luekine is my only option. Take care,
Mom with Stage IV MM0
