surgery and heated interperitoneal chemotherapy

Hi all - I was wondering if anyone has undergone surgery to remove tumors and then had, while still in surgery, a heated chemotherapy bath in their abdomen to kill off any remaining tumors? The surgery is followed by 5 days of interperitoneal chemotherapy. I've actually got colon cancer with mets to pericolic fat so Dr. Lenz, a colon cancer researcher at USC, has suggested this treatment which is also done for appendix cancer and ovarian cancer because the spread is through the abdomen.

I'm seriously considering the surgery but wanted to know how others have fared with the treatment. Thanks, Traci
