post rplnd surgery vs. watchful waiting

I have just finished chemor therapy for testicular cancer. I now have to make a decision about having post RPLND surgery or watchful waiting as my maintenance care. One dr strongly encourages me to have the surgery and another dr. strongly discourages the surgery. If you have had to make a similar decision, how did you make your decision? I am also interested in hearing about the post RPLND surgery. How difficult was it and how long was your recovery time?
