My doctor's office called. My CEA was great! *whew* Anybody want to join me in the naked happy dance? *grins* On the flip side, I had that stupid pain in the stomach that woke me up at 5 am. The nurse said she would talk to the doctor about that. I still hurt now. If it's just post-surgery, so be it, but I wish it would let me SLEEP.

Congratulations, Tootsie! I know what that feels like! I also know what those abdominal pains feel like. They only pop up once in a while, but last for days, and they hurt so bad. My onc says it's scar tissue, but it feels more like tearing tissue. How long ago was your surgery?

    Many hugs,
    Krista

Congratulations - I hope you dance happily naked all day today. Hope the stomach pain improves. I had it so badly they hospitalized me. Never did find out what it was, but it hasn't been back.

    Again - Yea!!!!!

My surgery was not quite 4 1/2 months ago, so I guess it's maybe just from that. It IS a big surgery. The doctor's office called me back, and they said I could call the surgeon and talk to him.I think I'll wait awhile.

Oh, Tootsie! We could have been in the hospital together if we were in the same zip code! My surgery was exactly four months ago today. It definitely is a major surgery, and every doctor i've seen (even my radiologist) said that the surgery will exhibit many changes. Some subtle, some aggravating. The "scar tissue" pain is the only trouble i've had with it since the initial healing. It's nice to know that others are experiencing the same thing as me simply because it means it's normal. I wouldn't wish this experience on ANYONE.
