Rectal stents for stricture treatment

Has anyone had any experience with a rectal stent? I have had two colon resections and a temporary ileostomy or at least I hope it is temporary. I developed a stricture shortly after bowel obstruction surgery. I had another bowel resection after that but the stricture has returned. They will not reverse the ileostomy until I have a more open path so to speak. One of the options they are now considering is a rectal stent. So far I haven't found anyone that has gone through this....any information would be helpful. Thanks

    The easiest way to locate other members with similar experiences is to type keywords (such as "rectal stent," "stricture," etc.) on the search bar at the top of the home page.
