Miralax - prep for colonoscopy

3rd annual post op colonoscopy coming up in a few weeks. Dr. prescribed 238 gram bottle of Miralx to be mixed with 64 oz. bottle of Gatorade -- then to drink 32 oz at 1pm and then 32 oz at 4pm on day before procedure. Also 4
Dlcolax between the 2 drinks. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this prep?

    I have used Miralax for all 3 colonoscopies. It is colorless and flavorless and mixes well with Gatorade. I mix it and chill for several hours before drinking. I started drinking it later in the day and continued with 8 oz every 15 minutes. It doesn't cause stomach cramps and I would use it again. I also used the Dulcolax. The phospho-soda I used before my resection tasted terrible. Go with the Miralax and Dulcolax.

    This was the best and easiest prep I had done. You don't taste a thing because it all disolves in the Gatorade - but the Gatorade overflows a bit in it's own bottle so I dumped the Gatorade and Miralax into a big pitcher w/a tight cover so I could keep shaking it before ea use. It seems to be less to drink and of course no change in taste - always nice. I was also able to just start the whole 64oz at 5:00 pm day before - a glass every 15-20 minutes - after the dulcolax push-start. I find the dulcolax first then the whole 64oz is the best way to go. I promise it does the same thing!

    Thanks for the tip....I have always used PhosphoSoda....got it down to an artform with Margarita Mix....but I will ask my GI guy....I have a scope coming up!
