From Sept 19 2007 to my Feb 12 2008 measurements of my fibroids have gone from:

1st largest on Rt of uterus measured Sept 19, 2007
3.0 x 2.9 x 2.7 cm
Now it measures as of Feb 12 2008
3.4 x 3.7 x 3.1 cm

Second largest being on left side of uterus measured on Sept 19 2007
1.7 x 1.9 x 1.5 cm
Now on Feb 12 2008 it measures
2.7 x 2.6 x 2.1 cm

There's also a note about prominent endometrial thickening 13mm. Don't know what this means.

My right ovary cyst on the CT on Oct 3rd measured:

4.2 x 2.5 cm stated it's a hypodense mass. Feb 12th Ultra Sound states I have a Complex Cystic and Solid Mass on my right ovary. Also contains a 2.0 cm nodule. Now my LEFT SIDE also has a Complex cystic mass measuring 2cm and I never had any problems with my left ovary before. There's also a 5mm hyperechoic focus in my left kidney, which could be a small stone.

Conclusions:
1. Myomatous uterus.
2. Thickening of the endometrium. This may be further evaluated with hysterosonography.
3. Complex Cystic and Solid Mass in the right ovary. Additional imaging with CT or MRI is recommended to further characterize.

I think I covered it all. I don't understand the conclusions. I'll have to search and see what I can learn about #1. Also, I don't know what a hysterosonography is. I've already done the ultra sounds and just had a CT in Oct which said to follow with a Ultra sound which was the last thing I did on Feb 12th. I "think" my family doctor is just cutting to the chase and sending me to the oncologist to get this taken care of before there is a problem. I do know that a solid mass increases chances of cancer. I'm HOPING there is NO WAY this doctor on the 13th is going to put off taking this mass out. I REALLY NEVER WANTED to have everything out, but at this rate of this going on since Sept 2006 and now all my parts are involved I think it's time to take it all out to avoid anything more happening. I just don't know if a doctor does this at my request, because of these issue's or if he'll only do it if he decides it should be done.

In everyone's knowledge of all your own issues and maybe other women you know what do you all think should be done about all this? I'm tired of all the discomfort and PAINS I keep getting. I was woken up in the middle of the night lastnight from the pain.

I really appreciate how I've been hearing from you all. You ALL are so wonderful. THANK YOU.

Actually, now that I have the records in hand and read them for myself I'm not stressed like I was before seeing what they said myself.

Hope you all are having a GREAT DAY!!! :-D

    Hi D:
I'm sorry I cannot answer any specific questions, but I agree that this is still not conclusive info and doesn't necessarily mean the worst-case-scenario. Again, I'm thinking maybe something to do with cystic ovary disease, but who can say for sure until your doctor gives his take on this. I know the wait is long, but you're almost there. I'll be thinking of you and praying for your strength as you share this with your husband. Stay positive, stay strong, and keep the faith! You are not alone in this.
Have a wonderful weekend. We'll be waiting to hear from you!

    Hi,
I agree with you and think most likely a Dr. will feel the same, you need to have this removed. Especially if your in pain. The good news is your masses are relatively small, and seem to only be affecting the ovaries, uterus and endometrium. My masses personally were 24cm x 16cm. My bowel was involved, and so were some lymph nodes, and the omentum. The Onc/gyn was able to dx before he got the pathology reports...any good gyn/onc probably can do that. Good luck, I think you have caught this problem in time..and have a pretty good outlook. Stay positive..and TELL YOUR HUSBAND..it is only fair, you would want to know if he was really sick wouldn't you??~~~~Joanne

I don't have the knowledge to read these results, but the GYN/ONC is the BEST one to interpret the results you have had. So you are in the best spot to find the answers now. I did not have a lot of pain until right before diagnosis...just a lot of bloating, gas, and occasional pain in ovary areas. Most pain in my liver. I will be praying that you get the answers on the 13th while I am taking chemo. (5 hours in the chair gives me plenty of time) (((HUGS))) Saundra

    Hey Monika, :-)

Thank you for writing. I feel 100% better since reading the records myself. I've had peace ever since. I WISH I could say I haven't been uncomfortable and in PAIN. It use to be once in awhile I would hurt, but it's starting to become a regular thing. I had to take something for pain lastnight and used the heating pad and those ALWAYS work so far. Just reaching a point where I want it all gone and move on. I would just be concerned about hormone replacements. I don't know anything about them other than the negative cancer scares you hear about.
Hope you're having a good day and have a AWESOME WEEKEND.
    Blessings to you. :-D

Hey Joanne, (TELL YOUR HUSBAND) LOL I am girl I've already decided I'd tell him this weekend. It's FRIDAY... ;-) I'm just SO RELIEVED that I feel SO MUCH BETTER emotionally since seeing the reports myself. I can now tell him without getting upset. ;-)

I just wonder if it's POSSIBLE that he'll just send me for more imaging instead of doing the removal and biopsy. I DEFINATELY want it removed and biopsied. From all my readings they ALL SAY any SOLID MASS has to be biopsied to really know what it is. If he doesn't I will have to push forward to get someone to do it. But, my doctor is sending me to the BEST in the area. I already looked up his ratings and all, so it looks good...... :-)

Thank you for writing. I feel like I have a GREAT GROUP OF FRIENDS ON HERE AND I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU ALL I REALLY DO.

I hope you ALL ARE HAVING A GOOD DAY. Have a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!! :-D

Saundra, I WISH I could be with you for your Chemo. It's strange that before all this I've been wanting to work with either the elderly or do something with children with cancer. My heart just really goes out to people for different things. When I'm up to it I DO PLAN to do SOMETHING to VOLUNTEER my services in SOME WAY. I have ALWAYS loved helping people and have found many ways to be of some help to others. But, I've never done anything on a regular basis like volunteer at any center of any kind and that's in my heart to do. Maybe somehow going into the homes of the LONELY and sick people.
For me... TOTAL JOY IN LIFE COMES FROM HELPING ANOTHER. If I could make someone elses day a little better in some way I'm all about it. :-D

I hope YOU ALL KNOW you have done this for me and I hope and pray GOD TRULY BLESSES EACH AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!

You ALL are the BEST AND THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.......... :-D

I think I'll try and get involved in a local cancer support group of some type. I'll have to check with hospitals nearby. Volunteers sometimes do a better job working with the public than the paid people because they are over worked and under paid for all that they do in the medical fields.

Loving and APPRECIATING YOU ALL. :-D Have a awesome weekend everyone.

Nancy, Thank You for your input as well. My sister and I talk about this a lot and although I NEVER wanted to ever have this done I rather do it with the way things have been going. Also, my family doctor is REALLY GOOD and she's ALL ABOUT nipping it in the bud and wanting to get to the source and just solve all issues that are possible. She's been really pushing to make sure I'm watched closely and it's my family doctor who decided I needed to see the GYN Oncologist. My regular GYN wasn't taking good care of me and sent me on my way until ANOTHER YEAR goes by!!! The radiologist put for me to get MORE IMAGES and I've been doing that and it's ALL WORSE in size and now a solid mass. I'm having stomach problems and other issues and my doctor said that when the cysts and everything continues to go they create other problems. Everything is getting pressed on and that must be happening, because I'm SO UNCOMFORTABLE and having MORE PAINS more often than before. I'm just REALLY HOPING to get it all removed and not have to do a little now and go back for more later, because we left stuff in. I hear too much about scar tissue creating too many problems for future surgeries and all.
I'm EXPECTING to be taken care of right or I'll have to ask for another opinion.
You have yourself a GREAT WEEKEND. Thanks for your 2 cents. LOL :-) Blessings to ya!!!
