It's been just over 3 months since my surgery, and right now my stomach is killing me. It makes me want to panic, because I wonder if this is a sign of something bad again. Or maybe I've done too much. I don't know. Just hate that I'm always worried about everything now. I'm constipated, but then I have IBS, so that's sort of normal. But that's what I thought before my diagnosis. I'm rambling, I know. Just wonder what kind of physical symptoms warrant consulting the doctor.

Any time you have a concern it is ok and advisable to consult with your physician. There are a number of conditions that can cause your symptoms. Sometimes people develop adhesions or scar tissue which can cause obstruction and pain. Call your doctor in the morning. Let us know what happens.

I agree. My docs were very open about wanting to know everything going on with me. It may or may not be something to worry about. I had pretty severe pain after my resection when I would eat. It eventually went away, but took a while. On the other hand, obstructions can and do happen frequently, so it is good to be sure this isn"t happening.

Let us know what you find out.

I agree with the Vinny and Chynabear about consulting your surgeon or doctors. It is very important that you take control of your health and not depend 100% on the doctors. Don't every be afraid to ask questions. I drove my Onc Doc nuts with soooo many questions to the point I told him he would really miss me once treatment was over :)
