We finaly got that diarrhea under control on the weekend and the stomach troubles got better Sunday.

The homecare nurse came by today and was actually surprised he recovered so fast.
He doesn't remember much of the last week
... and we figure a lot of that has to do with the medication he was taking to counter balance the side effects. All of those things can really add to him confusion and make him very difficult to deal with (as well as make him seem sicker then he is)

Tomorrow is the apointment with the oncologist (to make up for the one we missed last week after his first round on the chemo pill.
(The oncologist was surprised he developed the diarrhea on his week off ...)

Seeing him back to normal brain function with a LOT less of the confusion gives me hope we might still get him to NED at stage 4. At least this was he CAN fight - even if he is looking thin and still relearning how to walk (due to his near death experience thanks to the research chemo treatment in Nov ... )

(... and the broken arm is healing nicely as well)

*sigh*

Glad to hear things are going better! I know how scary these situations can be and your dad has been through so much. Keep your chin up and just support him all that you can:)

Glad to hear he is better. The least amount of meds the better. Little things can make major changes in one's mental condition, especially for us older patients. As he feels better he will feel more like fighting. Your father and family continue in our prayers.
