Lizper,
I had a bunch removed at the intial debulking surgery and then at my second look surgery they removed more and one did come back with metastic disease present..it was also found in my abd area, the jejunum (sp) That was in 2005, and I'm still here,so I don't know if this is a bad thing or not for your Mom, the best thing to do is ask her Dr. I'll keep her in prayer...(((hugz)))~~Joanne -
I had cancer in my abdominal lymph nodes at the time of diagnosis. None were removed at the debulking surgery and my surgeon said that they usually were not, that chemo would take care of that. Since my CA 125 has dropped so low, I assume that the chemo is working on me. We all know the cells are swimming around and can pop up again. That is just the reality of this disease. I know that it is hard on you (and your mother) but try to focus on doing the good things and building beautiful memories as you can. (like your planned trip to Spain) Everyone is going to leave this life at some point. What is important is how you spend the time you have. ((Hugs)) Saundra
