Hello everyone! I've been reading all the posts because i haven't been online in awhile. Welcome to all the new ladies, and I'm so sorry for the circumstances. Congrats to all the ladies with good reports! I had scans in mid January and they looked good, but my numbers are on the rise again. Still in normal range, but it's very unsettling. I see my gyno on Monday for my annual exam...that's always a treat(or not). Take care everyone, and blessings to all.

    Welcome back! Glad you are doing well. But, there's the CA125 issue again. Have you noticed how often it comes up in the discussions? I'm praying someday there will be something much more reliable than the CA125. We women have to rely on it too much, yet there's much that can cause those numbers to change. So, lay low for a while - it's the consistent upward climbs that they watch for. We all have the ups and downs with the numbers at some time or another, so don't be too concerned.

    Monika... thanks so much for the encouragment and support. I know about the ups and downs, but it really helps to hear positive thoughts from others who have been there. I'm taking your advise...laying low and hoping for the best. I hope you and yours are well and happy.

    It really is interesting how the CA125 is so closely monitored. I am in the unfortunate position, or fortunate, depending on how you look at it..., where my CA125 is completely unreliable. It was negative before I had the first op, making the docs think it was a benign cyst. It has been a completely unreliable marker, and it is generally all over the place. The doctors will monitor it, but it does not really mean much. My doc said that only if the CA125 is really sensitve, and really high to start with, is it a tool that can be used to monitor the tumour. In a way I am grateful as I cant get too worked up about the levels!

    Keep your head up. Scans are more reliable and if they look good, then relax a little. Don't go borrowing trouble where there is none. Besides, we are all here for you no matter what.
