I am 3 mos post radiation/chemo for left tonsil cancer. the doc said that the tumor is gone. however, i now have a spot on my left lung at the very top that was not there before i started radiation. my rad doc believes it is scar tissue from being within the field of radiation. he said it is quite common. has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. I have scar tissue in my lungs from high dosages of radiation treatment. It comes up on my xrays every time I have one. Lung tissue does not heal so the scar tissue will always be there. I hope this helps.
