Just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday... Hope that you and your husband will find a great way to celebrate.

By the way, their is a place called the "Newberry Oprea House" that brings in shows. It is only about 30 minutes from where you live. You can find it on the web. My mom works there as a volunteer seating people. It is about 200 years old and is quite neat. So you may want to check it out sometime.

    Thank you for the birthday greetings. This birthday is special in a lot of way. My mom passed away from bladder cancer just 2 weeks after her 56th birthday ( that was 24 years ago-- they've made such strides in that area if it were now thank heavens) That's kind of haunted me all year, realizing I've lived longer that my mom. I think that was one of the things that hid me hard when I was diagnosed too.
    BUT, that was then and this is now. We went to Mass at our new church for the first time last night. At the end of the service, the priest asks anyone with a birthday or anniversary during the week to come up for a special blessing. While he said he never asks the ladies their ages I told him "every birthday you get is a gift of God and He's given me 57 of them and I'm proud of it" I'm counting on many more.
