I just finally got around to responding to everyone on my "WENT TO SEE THE SURGEON TODAY" thread (on page 3 now).

I appreciate everyone's replies. We went "up north" for the weekend with our four kids and a bunch of their friends. We had an early 21st birthday party for our twin sons cuz one of them is going to Iraq soon... and won't be here for their real birthday in November. Everyone had a blast. It's so nice being up there. You're cut off (can't even get a phone signal up there, let alone an internet connection!!!).

On Saturday everyone went up to Macinac City and I stayed put with the dog. It was a nice break from all those teenagers and 20-somethings, not to mention my 12-year-old! I even managed to take the dog for a walk and she didn't even pull on her leash like she usually does. I guess she could tell I wasn't up to struggling with her. Smart dog, that one.

Anyway, I'm kinda glad to be home, too. Got my appointment to see the Onc on August 4. Gives me a couple more weeks to recover and research!

    It sounds like you are feeling a little better - I am very glad. I am also glad that you had a good time with your family. About the dog: dogs do always know when we are sick. My poodle-terrier middle size mix passed away in last november. She also knew always when I was not feeling well physically or emotionally.

    I like your personality - you sound very kind and friendly.

    Do talk to scouty and 2bhealed about alternative methods.
