Contacting the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center is a good idea. My experience in 1995 was a 3 to 4 week cycle of chemo. Receive the chemo over a few days the first week and then for 2 to 3 weeks after that they would monitor my immune system and my recovery from the chemo before starting the next round of chemo. That is just my experience. I was supposed to go through 6 rounds of post-surgery chemo but after 3 rounds my body and immune system could tolerate no more so they called it quits. Confidence was high though due to the pre-surgery chemo treatment and post-surgery radiation.
