Hi, I just learned some interesting info about the erbitux rash. My son was traveling home and met an oncology nurse on the plane--she said they were seeing good results from patients using Head and Shoulders shampoo as a body wash instead of soap. I am not sure why it works and my husband is trying it for the first time. Anything that might help is worth a try. So if anyone out there is battling with the rash--it might be worth a try to get you some much needed relief.

I had 14 Erbitux treatments and developed "The Rash". I experimented using Head & Shoulders on my body and it did help. I still had the rash, but I was much more comfortable. Also, my skin wasn't as dry. I had ten weeks off of Erbitux and my skin cleared up beautifully. However, I am now back on and getting my third treatment this week. Thanks for reminding me about Head & Shoulders.

I am using Erbitux and I've got the rash, and I HATE it! After reading this note a couple of days ago, I started using Head and Shoulders and maybe it has helped but it's too soon to say for sure. When you had your ten week break, how long did it take for the rash to clear up? I am going to Europe in May and I will stop Erbitux two weeks before I leave. I really want for the rash to be gone so that I can be **** in Europe (just joking, but really I'd like for the rash to be gone by mid-May if I stop the Erbitux the last week of April).

I have found that the rash lessens after a while. It did go from my face to my torso, then my legs, but now it's not bad at all. I've had about 30 treatments. More inportantly, I went from 9 lung tumors in June 005 to one small one as of 2 weeks ago
