Mom 3tn1 what to expect from chemo and what questions?

Your Mom is so lucky to have you to care about her! You didn't mention how old your Mom was? I had just turned 50 when I was diagnosed with CC-Stage 3, 1 lymph positive. That was 2 years ago next month. At that time I can honestly say I would not have thought I would be here today. Looking back, everything went smooth, surgery and chemo. I had Folfox (5fu, lecv., and oxyplatin) chemo treatment. My treatment was every 2 weeks. I would have my treatment for about 3 hours then I wore the fanny pack for the 48 hour drip. Basically felt like I had the flu every other week. Yes, I was tired but really only during my treatment. I tried to maintain as normal a life as possible, continued to work over 40 hours a week throughout treatment. I took meds for the nausea during treatment, so I was fine. Had symptoms from the oxy. - tingling when touching something cold. I really think that what helped me the most was attitude and trying to keep everything as normal as possible. I drove to my treatments by myself, except for the first one because I didn't know what to expect. It was a year ago last October since I completed treatments and so far so good. I feel great ! !
