Hi again. I have my next scan scheduled for this Wed. I am a tad bit scared for this one, but hopeful just the same. My last scan after taking CPT-11 and Erbitux for 3 session showed some tumor shrinkage. We then added Avastin to the mix. I hope the tumor has faded out!!

The scary part is the best case scenerio will lead to the removal of my right lung and resection of the small nodule in my left lung. THE SURGERY IS VERY OVERWHELMING. I am flying to NY to get a 2nd opinion from Sloan Kettering Jan 23rd.

Back to my request. Please send an extra positive vibe and prayer this week. I get my results on Friday and meet with the thoracic surgeon later that morning. GULP.

Thanks to all of you! FYI: my awful rash is MUCH better. :)

    Hello Jana - I am wishing you all the best. The surgery you are facing is pretty overwhelming, but they can do wonderful things as you know. You'll be in my prayers (and a second opinion is probably a really good thing to do).

    Lots of good thoughts going to you for great scan results from here in Seattle.

    Your possible surgery does sound daunting...but you are a super trooper and I'm sure you will get through it.

    Hiya Jana. Yeah...just got thru that test bit and as you would have read I am fine. Now I have to concentrate my best vibes on dear friends who have kept me on the positive outlook side of things. You are certainly one of those gal and to be sure Jen and I are hopin like all hell that your scans are BETTER than you expect sweetie.Awaiting your results gal.......keep a smile on babe...thinkin of yah.

    Good-good- good vibrations coming to you..and I know this sounds odd but you are so very lucky to be able to contemplate surgery (the best way to cure the beast)
