Hi to all,It is Christmas eve here already and we are looking at temps over 100 for the next three days .Makes you really look forward to a hot roast dinner NOT! We will have our usual all day snack of prawns ,ham and nibblies. It has been a mixed year with some wonderful triumphs balanced by the sadness of losing some wonderful friends. This group is blessed with some extaordinary characters and I thank them all for the wit ,sympathy ,empathy and the support shown to the ca sufferers and caregivers here. I would also like to thank all the guys and girls at CSN for giving us this support forum and last but not least I wish you and all your families a happy and safe Christmas and new year, Ron and Susan,SunshineCoast,Queensland ,Australia.

    The best of Christmas wishes from another down under, the Top of the North Island of New Zealand. It is very hot and windy here Ron, just hope the rain stays away as we are having a Hangi for Christmas Dinner hopefully after our afternoon milking. Even though it is Christmas the cows still have to be milked. All our family are heading home so hopefully I will get a few milkings off. Stay warm and happy everyone and all the very best for the New Year, especially for those of us waiting for dx and test results. Love to everyone Virginia.

    Ok, here's a Christmas reality where I live....

    Today was the first day of unseasonably warm weather, topping out at 46. Yesterday, every temperature reading included a "wind chill" factor. Ah, yes, it does make for a great holiday season....crowded houses with the heat cranked and the relatives oozing out of every corner of the house.

    Let's not forget eating...everything from hams and turkeys to desserts up the "wazoo"! The first "feeding" around noon, and round two starting back up in the evening.

    Gifts, you ask? My home looks like "Toys R Us" vomitted all over the place! The majority of which will be either sucked up by the vaccuum or ignored by Valentine's Day!

    But knowing this, I still live where I do, freezing my butt in Northwest Indiana, right off Lake Michigan, and wouldn't change it for the world! We all have our health (well, what wasn't removed or altered with chemo and surgery!), we all have our family, we all have our friends, both real and "virtual." When all is said and done, our blessings far outweigh everything!

    Merry Christmas, Kwansa, or Hanukkah everyone, and many many more to come!

    Here, in The Bahamas, we are enjoying 'cool'weather...73 degrees...as we prepare for Christmas. However hot it is, we look forward to our turkey, ham, macaroni cheese and peas and rice! Two years ago, my beloved husband could not eat Christmas dinner...he was just out of hospital from a post radiotherapy obstruction...and could only eat some soup! I thank God for the fact that he is presently well and able to eat everything and far too much of some things....Emily would be horrified!

    Wishing everyone on this board and the moderators a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

    Thinking specially of Sue and Linda and other caregivers who have lost loved ones this past year.

    Hello to all:
    It is Christmas eve "eve" in the "frozen Canadian north"- we have over a foot of snow but it has started to rain tonight so it will be a slushy mess by tommorrow...perhaps no white Christmas after all. Last year my love was in the middle of adjuvant chemo for stage 3 and alas this year is in the middle of heavy duty chemo for stage 4..so he has no appetite or alot of energy for Christmas...but I am just so grateful he is here with the kids and I and can only pray that next Christmas brings him smiles as a result of NED...
    God bless all of my fellow caregivers and the true hero's- the cancer survivors..and a special prayer as well to Sue, Linda and Judy's family that they find some peace in their hearts this holiday season.

    Hullo dear friends and MERRY XMAS.It is now 12.50am(26th dec.)Jen and I have just spent a wonderfull day with friends, a traditional get-together for lunch on the banks of our Murray River in South Oz. As all our children are located in various areas around the country it is difficult to be together on xmas day so we see them individually before or after xmas day.
    We extend our sincere greetings to you all. Be safe and well dear friends and enjoy today with family and friends.
