erbitux and avastin

My mom's new onc. has suggested ironetecan + erbitux + avastin. Anyone used this combo?

    I've used Erbitux and Avastin separately and had good results with both drugs. I'm currently on Erbitux. sorry I can't offer more help.

    Hi Erika:
    So glad your Mom got a second opinion and will get her bile ducts cleared. My husband is on irinotecan/5FU and avastin but I have heard that erbitux mixed in is fantastic..we can't get that here in Canada...
    I pray that she will fond a combination that is right for her plus maybe finding a clincial trial?

    Erbitux plus Avastin is being debated as a majorly effective combination right now, kind of a 1-2 knockout punch for monoclonal antibodies. Avastin has some potentially serious side effects, such as blood clots, or high INR's. Watch closely, but I'd definitely try it.
